Office stuff should have been moved to the new location by now. And so we left the office ytd, partially moved. Head on to GWC for The Other Boleyn Sister. First time I saw that title was at GWC bookshop while browsing for book, awaiting the movie The Bucket List.

The synopsis was good but didn’t expect to watch it. It was a sad, sad story. A bunch of twisted, power hungry men selling their family. Having their children sacrifice their future for the benefit of no one worth sacrificing for. My God! Poor George had to died a horrible death. Maybe for Anne, it serves her right but still, it was that fair. And fortunately Mary lives a happy live, eventually, after much horrible things that her father made her do. I wouldn’t blame her mum for not being able to control her greedy father. The movie was set in the ancient time during King Henry of England’s time. No idea which century haha…Go catch it if you wanna know details. Won’t spoilt it for u out there.
We had multiple meals *as usual* and last one was supper at Spize. Not nice! Period. *Or probably we are full yet we force ourselves to eat, still* our fault? Definitely, Maybe.
Since we are at a central location from our home, each of us took our own cab home. I got a nice LOOKING cab but not so nice a driver. First and foremost, he used his handphone to make a longggg text message WHILE DRIVING. Then, Number 2, he drove by PIE, which I think he should have gone by AYE. Then he blame for not saying it out loud. My fault lah? Whatever! Then he started yapping abt his ‘non-human passengers’ which he picked up at Taman Jurong. Its 1:00 freaking AM in the morning and I got to go up the lift alone. 1:00AM and this old man is talking rubbish. I wasn’t even dropping hints anymore, I bluntly said “Enough story already, I’m not a fan of horror stuff”. He said, “oh penakut” *translation “oh, your scared” DUH!!!!! Shut up already! But now, knowing that i’m afraid, he carries on abt ‘a beautiful lady who made his cab stinks really bad’ after ’she’ exits. I’m actually riding on a cab, with the same back seat, ever sat by a ghost, assuming the driver wasn’t just purposely freaking me out. I can’t wait to get my ass of the seat. Just round the corner, I get out pay my fare. Obviously by now, I’m worried abt going up the lift. And for the longest time I’ve lived at this block of flat, returning home at the wee hours of the night *considering this is earlier than some days*….I saw a figure at the mailbox…i tot,”ok someone still wanna take their letters at this hour* *goosebumps already*
So I just braved myself walk to the lift lobby. There you have..a kid, abt 9 years old. What the F**K a kid doing at my void deck at such hour. If he is a human kid that is! So I figured a kid wouldn’t harm in a way an adult might. So no harm sharing the lift. Off we go. He’s at 4, me a higher floor. I couldn’t help it but HAVE TO STRIKE a conversation before he turned into something else. *of coz, being scared make u imagine the worst* I ask him a simple question.
Me: Are you from school or tuition?
Him: Jurong West.
Me: ohh.
*but my thoughts were, “You are not answering my question, boy”*
*door open at 4th floor, he exits*
Me: *praying all sorts of verse that crosses my mind*, *goosebumps*
Reached my floor, keys in my hand. I tot of making a dash to the door but then trying to be brave somemore….by now I’m really freaking my ass off. And I realized I actually shivering already. I must be pretty pretty afraid. Really was! Mum already fast asleep by now so I wasn’t planning of doing an emergency support call
I quickly made my way in. Once in, turned on ALL THE LIGHTS in the house, Turn on the TV to TRAVEL CHANNEL *becoz non-horror show as Channel 5 was showing SALEMS’ LOT* Go to mum’s room and tell her the entire story. Her reply in sleepy mood, “Can’t be human lah.” Wow! That sure is comforting, mama. But she ask me if I was so curious, why didn’t I follow the boy out at 4th floor. I made her sleep with me in my room right after she said that and totally knocked myself out.
Today, is a new day, up at 7AM, thanks to job failure early in the morning. Now waiting for some more email. Then I’m off to work to renovate my new cosy corner.
Now I really wondering if that boy was human. I didn’t got a chance to check his reflection on the lift door. Neither did I smell anything. Just the goosebumps. And he stop at 4th floor, in Chinese 4 means ’si’ *translated as DIE*….Freaky enough! Freaky Friday, indeed!
One too many late nights
*serve me right*
OK add on to my early morning blog..presenting AFTERNOON EDITION
