February 2008

I’ve been slacking with the ranting but then again I can’t help but to register an entry today considering it is 29 Feb 2008. Its not we can get it every year, can we?

There’ll be a movie “THE LEAP YEAR” released in Singapore today. I’ve read the book. It is by Catherine Lim. She’s my favourite local writer, her books are simple yet superb.

There’s some myths, abt the leap year, saying that today, any girl can propose to a guy – she chose – of coz, and that guy cannot refuse. If he did, he need to get her a gift. Don’t believe me? Goggle it! I won’t be so kind as to let you read my Research, at least not today.

Tonite is This Love by JuzB @ Esplanade. Catching the show, then planning to chill for a while. I’ve got the Blue Transformers with me hik hik hik….

Pls make today a very nice day to work…i need to pick up ’swifty’ at 7pm…pls dun make me OT. *pray pray*

As for the happenings in my life, work is really giving me heart-attacks at times…one was yesterday, just not long ago, another one. On urgent leave Wednesday for my uncle’s funeral, mum’s going for surgery….the mind is like a cobweb lately, sleepless nights and all……but I have my ways to be happy and redha with my life’s happening – because whatever happens and whatever the challenges…Life goes on…..

I felt a load of my chest and my back…all at the same time. Relieved! So very much relieved that the one thing that worries me is now resolved. Thanks buddy! Appreciate it! I don’t need to say much. Thanks to ‘the-guy-who-sat-with-me-at-JurEast-McD’ *u know who u r* also….I honestly can’t figure out who was there for who at that point of time….but your presence do make a different.

Thanks JD and Shanon for saying those words.

Bottom line is things are beginning to be better…and for that I’m thankful  to the Almighty Allah for His blessing and having answered my prayers.

Ma said I’m so much happier ever since yesterday as compared to few days ago. That’s a sure sign I’m ok… :)

I’m now logged in to the office notebook trying to figure out some work matters while i still have 4 more DVDs to catch up.  So what have I been watching since..eve of CNY…

The Family Stone, The Departed, The Pianist, Shooter, Miss Potter, The Greatest Game Ever Played *makes me love the golf game*, 881 *local movie* - that’s only 7 DVDs ya….

I still got Meet Joe Black *first time I rent I didn’t watch*, then, The Brothers Grim, Zodiac *got Jake Gyllenhaal – i likeeeeeee*, and finally, The Upside of Anger *run of movies so i just random pick this one* – deadline to complete is 13 February….

So correction…total is ELEVEN Dvds …instead of earlier I mentioned 14.

I still love Leonardo DiCaprio in his other movies EXCLUDING titanics!!! I’m still loving him in The Departed until one goons blow his heads off. Damn it! At 330am in the morning, while watching the movie, when he’s doing really well chasing the bad Matt Dammon, you wouldn’t expect the so-called hero to die…he did! But still I love him in The Departed. *I should have known from the title- DUH!!!*

I’m beginning to also love Mark Warlberg except that part when he keeps using ‘F**king’ too many times in ‘The Departed’..basically the word ‘F**king’ was already overly used in that entire movie…don’t believe me? go rent it…Almost every casts’ line has that word in every scene, everywhere….hahaha….

So DVDs watching, eating and sleeping was pretty much how i spent my long weekend. And I survived half of those holiday on McD, Pizza Hut, and a tiny bit of home cooked food.

Now the delayed SMS alert from the failed job starts to appear and its freaking me out…that’s why i’m now on the office network. *finger biting*….

Alright..i’m off now….lets pray, i mean really pray that this week will be better..Amin!

I’m off…and JD, welcome back to Singapore….I kinda miss the chicken rice with extra chicken wing :) Yum! Yum! Pak Lang, feel free to join, I’ll make sure u get 2 extra chicken wing. *hint hint* :P

CNY ‘08 is a 4-day stretch of holiday. For those working, its a blessed long weekend. Blessed right now is probably an understatement for me, personally. The entire week had been an incredible emotional roller-coaster ride. I had a thousand, if not million things going through this head of mine. I had to mentally block all those so that I could get through the days without affecting the mood of those around me. I’m glad I have someone I can confide in. Really thankful for that. Otherwise, I would have gone mad over the last couple of days. *God forbids*

To keep the mind off those issues, I try to figure out what to do over the CNY break. Work ended at 3+ on the eve of CNY. My plans for the gathering wasn’t going as planned. But still there will be some sort of gathering just not that plenty of food. One thing for sure, I didn’t do my groceries shopping early enough, and the neighbourhood just turned into a ‘ghost-town’ with all stores closing in preparation for the reunion dinner. It ended up a blessing in disguise, coz the Mr. Ariston aka ‘the fridge’ decided to breakdown. Nothing is kept chilled in the fridge…the water just won’t turn to ice-cube anymore.

Since CNY eve, I’ve been lying in bed watching DVDs. I’ve got 14 DVDs lined up just waiting for me. Ma thought I was sick or something coz I hardly left the room initially. Until the later part of the CNY day 1 that i thought, I might eventually fall sick if I carry on such unhealthy habit. Got up, freshen up and spend a bit of time with the folks.

CNY day 2 was better, fetch the grand-folks early morning. The aunt & family came by, we had Pizza Hut and also another uncle bought food from mamak nearby. the kids were in my room as usual. But I tot a classic game of OLD MAID might change my mood a little, it incredibly DID! Had a good laugh with ma and the kids. Rest of the time, we basically munch the home delivery food most of the time.

Here I am blogging, waiting for Anugerah ERA ‘07  outdated telecast on SENSASI. Why? Coz ada Anuar Zain, that’s why. Tomorrow there’s 2 repeat broadcast. And also waiting for Boy to come and he’s gonna cook something later tonite. Could be his famous BBQ Chicken Wing. Yumm!

I hope tomorrow will be a much much better day….than today, or yesterday….or the day before yesterday….and so on and so on.

Teman Terulung

Bila bertaut senyuman
Mata berlirikan
Memancarkan keluhuran
Cerah kesederhanaanmu
Seindah kejujuranmu

Detik seia sejiwa
Terungkap setia
Tiada upaya sepi
Mekar kudup penantianku
Hadirnya teman sejati

Melangkah kita menjejak mimpi
Bahagia berdiri dengan mu disisi
Harapan kita meniti hari
Sentiasa seiring

Paling agung teman terulung
Tenunan emas sayap hidupku
Tak inginku undur bertamu
Bertakhta teguh
Ke akhir waktu
Lagu: Teman Terulung/Anuar Zain
Penulis Lagu/Lirik: Azalea

P/S: I’m just a phone call away…..

Hatiku hancur
Mengenang dikau
Berkeping-keping
Jadinya…
Kini air mata
Jatuh bercucuran
Tiada lagi harapan

Tiada seindah
Waktu itu…
Dunia berseri-seri
Malam bagai siang
Seterang hatiku
Penuh harapan
Padamu

Kini hancur berderai
Kepedihan berantai

Kuncup di hatiku
Yang lama kusimpan
Hancur kini
Sebelum berkembang…

Mengapa ini
Harus terjadi
Di tengah
Kebahagiaan
Ingin kurasakan
Lebih lama lagi
Hidup bersama
Denganmu…

Hidup bersama
Denganmu

I had a taste of Arrowhead chips early this morning. Oleh-oleh i got from KL, courtesy of a dear kakak. One bite it tasted like potato chips by ‘Jack & Jill’, just tat its thicker and lebih lemak. So i tot it was potato chip, just tat it got a better commercial name.

I was ohhhhh-soooo-wronggggg…because there is actually an Arrowhead vege that is a seasonal vegetable from China that is high season during Chinese New Year. And it look like this:

 ArrowHead

What do u think it looked like? Take a guess, please.
